Lynds – 85, North
River, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in North River, he was a son of the
late John and Marion (Edmonds) Lynds.
Don owned and operated Lynds Car Sales for over 50 years and
loved every minute of it. He loved traveling and camping with his many
friends in his motorhome (which was his pride and joy), playing cards,
fishing and his vegetable garden.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sheila Mae
(Armsworthy); brother, Doug (Fran); children, Marty (Autumn), David
(Cathy), Cathy (Fred), Lynn (Steve); grandchildren, Harmony (Erik)
Muckle, Krista (Kurtis) Porter, Courtney (Alexander) McKenney, Richard
Layton, Ashlee (Steve) Bevis, Travis MacKenzie (Falan Stone), Tamara
MacKenzie; great grandchildren, Liam Muckle, Kellan Muckle, Jake
Porter, Lawson Bevis, Haven MacKenzie, Hope MacKenzie. Special thanks
are extended to Dr. Murray and Dr. Lee and the many nurses that cared
for him. Private interment in Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North
River.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of Don’s
life that will be held from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Friday,
September 13, 2019, at North River Fire Hall, 74 Truro Road, North
River. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory to
Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice are
welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
