Pat was born in Campbell River but relocated to Duncan with her parents in 1941.
She was predeceased in 2010 by her husband Neil or 63 years, and her parents Archie and Mabel MacDonald. Pat is survived by her daughter Bonnie Cooper (Brian Payne), her grandsons Nicholas an dIan Cooper (Andrea), and great grandson James Cooper.
Pat and Neil were well known and active in the Duncan area. In 1953 they built what would become the family home on Gibbons Road where there was always a coffee pot of for friends and family that dropped by. In the early 1960’s they developed the Deuchars Drive subdivision.
Over the years Pat enjoyed their large garden, knitting for extended family members, playing cards, including Bridge and Crib which she enjoyed right into her final days. For many years Pat enjoyed her job as a travel agent which segued nicely into her love of seeing the world.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Miriam Temple #2.
Pat will be missed by her many friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank Dr. Malherbe and Dr. Manhas and the dedicated staff at the Chemainus Health Care Centre for all their efforts and kindness.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat’s name to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation.
