Peacefully passed away, with family at his side in the Milton Hospital on Thursday, September 19, 2019 Art (Arie Martinus) Van Duyn of Milton at 71 years of age after a mercifully short battle with cancer. He emigrated from The Netherlands with his parents in 1950 to Canada and lived most of his life in the Mississauga, Hamilton and Milton area.
Beloved brother of Mary (Cor) Mulder, William (Dorothy) Van Duyn, Anne (James) Winter. Cherished uncle to William (Jill) Van Duyn, Timothy (Rayalyn) Van Duyn, Christina (Justin) Kurth, Simon (Nicole) Winter and Stuart Winter. Art will be lovingly remembered by his great nephews and nieces and fondly remembered for his smile by his many friends.
Friends will be received at Clearview Christian Reformed Church, 2300 Sheridan Garden Drive, Oakville, ON for visitation from 7:00 – 9:00pm on Tuesday evening, September 24. A graveside ceremony for family will be held at Milton Evergreen Cemetery with family at 9:30am on Wednesday, September 25th. Celebration of life service to be held the same day at the Clearview Christian Reformed Church at 11:00am followed by a reception for those who would like to spend time with the family.
