February 4, 1943 – September 16, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alvin on Monday, September 16, 2019. He leaves behind his wife Roslyn after fifty four years of marriage, his children Steven ( Lisa ) and Stacey ( David ) and his brother Errol ( Bernice ). Proud grandfather to Hayden, Jared, Taylor and Rachel. The family would like to thank the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital Oncology Department for their care and compassion. Funeral service will take place at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 1pm followed by a burial service at the Jewish Memorial Gardens ( 2692 Bank Street, Gloucester ). Shiva will take place at Roslyn’s home on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Friday from 2pm to 4pm. In Alvin’s memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
