Pettipas (Gouthro), A. Elaine – (1943 – 2019) of Tatamagouche, passed away September 15, 2019 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Elaine was born in New Waterford in 1943. She is survived by her husband, Tony; brothers, Hilary Gouthro and Don Gouthro; sister, Janie Luby; step-daughters, Cherie and Karla, all in The United States; mother-in-law, Marjanne Pettipas; sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, many nieces and nephews and the Tibbetts family who were always special to Elaine. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary (MacDonald) Gouthro; brother, Gerry; and special friend, Joanne MacDonald. Elaine loved her life in Bayhead near Tatamagouche. She made many friends and was involved in the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed co-chairing the annual Strawberry Festival. Special thanks for the care Dr. Dan MacDonald gave her, and all the staff at Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital who helped in that care. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or funeral service to be held. A burial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
