Michael Francis, age 19, passed away in Antigonish on
September 12, 2019.
Born in Kingston, Ont., he was the son
of Mark Soucy and Nancy Wallace.
Jesse was an active member of the Army
Cadets for several years and during that time was not only promoted to
Sergeant, but through hard work and commitment was presented with The
Queen Diamond Jubilee Award, the Legion Medal of Excellence as well as
several other medals.
Jesse was adventurous and inquisitive.
He had a keen interest in history and a fascination with building
things. That was evident in the time and effort he and Robert spent
building “The Camp”. Many other things he loved included
searching for seashells and beach glass with his girlfriend Victoria,
cooking, music and his cats Flokey and Ivar.
Jesse had a kind heart which was
obvious in how he always wanted to please everyone and make them
happy, His kindness will always be remembered and he will be deeply
missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy
Wallace (John Connors), Antigonish; father, Mark Soucy, Halifax;
girlfriend, Victoria Hadley, Mulgrave; maternal grandmother, Joan
Wallace, South River; paternal grandmother, Joan Soucy, Ontario; aunts
and uncles: Gerald (Gina) Wallace, Grand Prarie, Alta; Alfie (Dawn)
Wallace, Kingston, Ont.; Robbie (Mary) Wallace, Heatherton; Rosemary
Wallace, South River; Cassie (Stevie) Wallace, New France; Carmen
(Donna) Wallace; Beauly; Freddie Wallace, South River; Leon (Rose)
Wallace, Purl Brook; Kelly (Mike) Boyle, New France as well as many
cousins.
Predeceased by maternal grandfather,
John Francis Wallace; paternal grandfather, Lionel Soucy; uncles,
Kevin Wallace and Michael Soucy, aunt, Laurie Soucy; cousins:
Johnathan Wallace, Jesse Davis and Gerry Wallace.
Visitation in C.L. Curry Funeral Home,
135 College Street, Antigonish, Monday, September
16th, 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 pm. Funeral Mass in St Peter’s Church, Tracadie on
Wednesday at 11:00 am with Father John Barry presiding. Burial in St.
Patrick’s Cemetery, Merland.
