Peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the age of 72.
Dear son of Elie Descarie and the late Eileen Descarie.
Dearly beloved husband of Tess Lewis-Descarie. Dear step-father of the late Tabitha, Taylor, Corey and Ken Lewis. Fondly remembered by his step-grandson Zachary.
Dear brother of Diane Charlebois and the late Bernie Descarie (Betty-Ann). Loving uncle of David Charlebois (Jocelyne), the late Peter Charlebois (Judy) and Penny Descarie.
Rick will also be missed by his good friend Doug (Joanne) and by the Lewis, Coleman and Robertson families.
Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway) Ottawa, on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 17 at 1p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
