Pnina (Paula) Kopel
(née Mandler)
Peacefully, on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in her ninety-fifth year. Beloved wife of the late Shaul Kopel with whom she shared an enduring strong love. Adored and treasured “imaleh” of Zev and Devorah Kopel, Reuven and Ruthie Kopel, and the late Gila Kopel. Proud and precious “safta” of Tali and Moishe, Tamar and Jordan, Lianne and Todd, Nitzan and Amir, and Aviv. Cherished great-grandmother “Super Safta” of Maayan, Ariele, and Lila Liberman, Nadav and Ayla Lack, Lev and Noa Davidyock, Inbar and Alma Hochman. Predeceased by her four dear siblings, Esther (Avram), Chaim (Lea), Yaakov (Chava), Moshe (Luba). Adored by her caregiver, Chaya Medovoy, to whom we are grateful. Pnina will be lovingly remembered by her family as the matriarch who exuded laughter and warmth, who was a strong and determined woman ahead of her times, and as a captivating storyteller, etching her memories in our hearts. Special thanks to the 5th and 6th floor staff of the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their compassion and love for our “Super Safta”. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. Following the funeral service, she will make her final voyage to her beloved home of Israel, for burial. Shiva to take place in Israel. Contributions in her memory may be made to Beit Halochem – Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel, 1-800-355-1648.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Pnina Paula Kopel..
