SYKES, Peggy Jean – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Peggy Sykes on Saturday, August 24th, 2019, in her 61st year at the Kingston General Hospital. Daughter of of Edward Sykes (Margaret) and the late Ferne Baker (late Robert). Loving sister to Lester Sykes (Sandra), Anne Payne (Jamie), Lynne Walker (Lyle), and predeceased by brother Ken Sykes (Corliss). Peggy will forever be remembered by her nieces and nephews Jesse (Karli), Aaron, Ben (Angela), Brandon, Caleb, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, Courteney, and Carissa. Great nieces and nephews Abel, Aurora, and Finley. Peggy was a proud teacher with Hastings Prince Edward District School Board for many years as well as a long time member of the Belleville Yacht Club. Friends may call at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Thursday, August 29th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Luncheon to follow at the Belleville Yacht Club. Inurnment to take place at St. Georges Anglican Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or The Childrens Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
