It is with deep sadness that the family of Oliver R. Robin announces that he passed peacefully surrounded by family on August 11, 2019.
Oliver was born on a Saskatchewan family farm. He married and found new opportunity in Alberta and employment with Northwestern Utilities; he had a long and successful career. Active in his Catholic Parish and the entire community, he was a fundraiser, volunteer, and good neighbour; enjoying music, curling, bridge and yardwork. A thirst to see the world led him and his wife, Ingrid, to explore all continents, even seeing the shores of Antarctica.
He will be missed by his wife, Ingrid; children, David (Elaine), Bruce (Sheila), and Elizabeth (Mike); grandchildren; brothers, George and Leon; as well as extended family.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at St. Edmund Roman Catholic Church, 13120-116 Street, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Oliver’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
