Oliver Deschambault

DESCHAMBAULT, Oliver
Oliver Deschambault of Saskatoon, SK born April 1949 in Penetanguishene, ON, passed away at his home on August 26, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Oliver is lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra Deschambault; step-daughter Sarah Rowe (Trevor Wilson) of Estevan, SK; step-son Paul Rowe (Nataliya Filipovych) of Saskatoon, SK; brother Cliff Deschambault (Vera Looby) of Brampton, ON; nephew Brandon Deschambault (Jessica Deschambault) of Windsor, ON; niece Shannon Deschambault (Lee Wessels); great-niece Alexia, and great-nephews Nathan and L.J. of Kincardin, ON. Oliver worked at TRW for 23 years, starting at entry level and worked his way up to Quality Control Inspector. He met Sandra and followed her to Saskatchewan where they were married in 1995. He claimed Sarah and Paul as his own “heart Kids”. Oliver then moved on to work for Canada Post, delivering mail to rural offices for 5 years. In 2002 in began his last big adventure as a long haul truck driver. For 17 and a half years, Oliver and Sandra worked for Kindersley Transport as “team drivers”. He often said those were the best years of his life. He loved the fact that they had been to 36 states in the USA, and across Canada from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island. Oliver was not a complicated man, what you saw is what you got. His heart was so big he couldn’t stand to see anyone in distress. Over the years he supported 130 different charities, served on the board of Big Brothers and was a Big Brother himself. He served and volunteered at the local hockey and baseball association for underprivileged kids. If there was a need, and he was able to help, he did it with a glad heart. Oliver loved his life, family and friends. He often said that he had no regrets, told no lies and held no grudges. He was a man that made a difference. A Celebration of Oliver’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 2:00PM at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street). Arrangements in care of Chelsea Krentz – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306)978-5200.
