Michael McCrowe
February 26, 1944 – July 31, 2019
The McCrowe family is brokenhearted to announce the passing of our father on July 31, 2019, age 75. Dad passed peacefully away at home after a very short illness, with his children, cherished daughter-in-law, grandchildren and special nieces by his side.
Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Bromley), parents John and Annie McCrowe, siblings Bernice (Brennen), Monica, Dennis, Eugene & Mary; sisters-in-law Joan McCrowe, Rose Anne Bromley, and brothers-in-law Al Brennan, Msgr. Edward Bromley & Gerald Bromley.
Leaving to mourn his five beloved children; Leigh Anne (Doug), Michelle (Ray), Michael (special daughter-in-law Tammy), Nicole, Charlene (treasured son-in-law Eddie Melvin); grandchildren Justyn Casey (Julie), Matthew & Noah McCrowe, Cheyanne, Nicholas & Lilly Rose Melvin; sister-in-law Marg Bromley; special nieces, Denise Hiscock (Glenn), Petrina Bromley (Kevin), and Karen Bromley (Jay); lifelong cousins & friends Doreen Boudreau (John), Molly Flynn (Pat), Ambrose Denty (Hilda) and Annie Flynn (Peter), as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Dad cherished our mom Elizabeth, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was born on Oderin Island, and resettled to Marystown where he met mom, and together they raised their family in Goulds for the last 45 years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his charm and quick witted sense of humour, and devilish grin.
Our deepest heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mari-Lynne Sinnott for her exceptional care, compassion, support and kindness.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon – 9 p.m. with cremation to follow. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from St. Kevin’s Church at 10 a.m. with inurnment to follow in St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Goulds. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
