Michael Coderre

Michael Joseph “Chief” Coderre, age 54, of Stratford and formerly of Victoria, BC, passed away peacefully after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Victoria, BC, much loved son of Alfred (Rona) Coderre and Sherry (Pappenberger) Coderre. Mike is survived by his siblings Maurice, Vivian, Paul and Leanne (Collin) Loganhume and his niece Celeste. Mike was blessed to have a large circle of friends; Mark and Christine Van Gaal, Kevin Ramseyer (Emiladie), Mark Koehler and numerous other friends who were with Mike on his journey. Mike moved to Stratford in 1985 and worked at Stackpole for 31 years. Mike loved adventure with his friends and loved darts, travelling, scuba diving, hockey, his time spent at Grand Bend and Michigan Speedway. He loved bringing people together from all his connections. He sang and played guitar any chance he could so people would be happy and laugh. A celebration of Mike’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. at the Army Navy and Air Force Hall Unit 261, 151 Lorne Ave East, Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in Victoria, BC, at a later date. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation through the W.G.
