Lorne Dale Spady 1947-2019
Lorne Dale Spady, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Alliance on August 7th, 2019.
Born December 30th, 1947 to Jack and Margaret Spady, Lorne was raised in the Alliance area with his brothers and sister.
Lorne was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, horseman and cattleman. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, riding, watching sports (football and hockey), and taking his dog Timber for drives.
Lorne is survived by his wife Cindy, daughters Joely Spady (Richard Mckinnon), Jolene Weber (Chad), sons Barclay Spady and Todd Beveridge, grandchildren Allie and Ethan Weber, first wife Linda Spady, brothers Tom Spady (Marg), Roger Spady (Betty), sister Cathy Schaffner (Charlie), Sister in law Verleen Spady and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Jack Spady, mother Margaret Spady and his brother Harold Spady.
At Lorne’s request, no funeral or services will be held. Memorial Donations can be made to the Alberta Kidney Foundation, Alberta Diabetes Association or to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation.
A special Thank you to Dr. Timothy Hanton, the Killam Hospital nurses and staff, as well as the Galahad Health Centre nurses.
Lorne will always be remembered for his unique and riveting story telling.
Lorne’s work here is finished, his time has come to ride off into the sunset.
