Leander “Lee” William Gillingham
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leander “Lee” William Gillingham announces his passing. Lee passed away from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at the age of 77 years.
Lee is predeceased by his parents – Edmund and Ethel Gillingham; sister – Olive Barker; brother – Christopher Gillingham; great-nieces – Nicole Barker and Krystal Murphy.
Left with fond and loving memories is his wife – Christina Gillingham, Westport, NL; son – Kevin Gillingham (Beverly), Grande Prairie, AB; daughters – Velma Gillingham, Westport, NL and Linda Hinchliffe (Richard), Grande Prairie, AB; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers – Wilson (Patsy), Westport, NL, Clarence (Cecilia), Baie Verte, NL and Hubert (Janette), Gander, NL; sisters – Shirley (Melvin) and Doris (Wallace), all of Westport, NL as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Reverend Charlene Laing will conduct the Funeral Service from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Westport, NL on Friday, August 16th, 2019 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow from St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Westport, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christina Gillingham P.O. Box 94, Westport, NL A0K 5R0.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
