Joyce’s Obituary
NEW GLASGOW – Joyce Diann Creamer, 70, New Glasgow, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow.
Born on May 28, 1949 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Hattie Mae Creamer. Joyce resided on Frederick Street, New Glasgow for several years. She was a gentle lady who enjoyed spending time with friends and her furry friend, Avro. Throughout her battle with Cancer, Joyce was resilient, never letting the disease take her positive attitude and wonderful sense of humour. She never gave up!
Surviving are her son, Darrell, New Glasgow; sister, Margaret Ann Weir, New Glasgow; special friend, Walter Dykstra, Hopewell; brother, Sylvester (Joanie) Jamison, Mattie Settlement; nieces, Marjorie (David) Weir-Leese, Westville; Melanie (Stu) Weir-MacLean, Pine Tree; Hattie Creamer, Canso; nephew, Matt (April) Weir, Little Harbour; great-nieces and nephews, Rahshawn Weir (Alicia Jamieson), Ben and Charlie MacLean, Kenzie, Brookie and Keelan Weir; best friend and caregiver, Tammy Ross, New Glasgow; close friends, Jennifer Murray and Lorraine Lemay, both of New Glasgow.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Joyce in infancy; brother, Vernon.
The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating.
Thank you to the Aberdeen Hospital 4 south, Palliative Care units, nurses and Dr. Kwasnik, who took such good care of Joyce, whom she loved in her own special way.
