Smith, Jacoba “Jackie” (nee Konig)
Jackie Smith, a resident of Chatham, passed way peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Chatham Campus on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 in her 97th year.
Born on June 25, 1922 in the Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Johann & Jacoba (nee de Voogd) Konig.
Beloved wife of the late Brian Tucker Smith (2000).
Loving mother of Stanley Konig and his wife Noreen, of Alberta.
Special grandmother of Tyler Konig & Brady (Aaron) Carballo-Hambleton.
Predeceased by her siblings, the late Inga Pagano-Mirani (the late Leo), the late Jacob Konig & the late Harry Konig.
Special friends of Linda Elson, Rosemary Hardy & Marilyn Green, all of Chatham.
Remembered fondly by Janie Faber-Anderson.
Family to receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 10:00 am until the Service at 12:00 pm. Burial to take place in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
In memory of Jackie, donations may be made to the Compassion Canada or Right to Life.
