The family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Hilda Epple (nee Balthes), of Tillsonburg, on Thursday, August 08, 2019 at the age of 96 years. Hilda was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur (1992) and her son David (2017). Loving mother of Caroline Vickery, Richard Epple (Gail Evans), Connie Foreman (the late Tom in 2019), Dennis Epple and his wife Cindy. Mother-in-law to Sheila Epple. Hilda was a proud grandmother and great grandmother to 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Sister to Katherine Barth. Predeceased by her parents John and Sofia Balthes, siblings Sophie Lang, John Balthes, Anna Klein, Matilda Carter, and daughter-in-law Susan Epple (1997). The family welcome you to join them for a visitation at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON, (519) 842-5221 on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Funeral service for Hilda will be held in the funeral home on Monday August 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation. Pastor Paul Schallhorn of Peace Lutheran Church will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be to the Alzheimers Society.
