George Cook – St. Peters
It is with broken hearts that we, the family , announce the peaceful passing of George Lewis Cook after a lengthy illness at the Richmond Villa in Saint Peters, on August 22, 2019. George was the son of the late Lena (Cook) O’Toole. He is survived by his brother Neil (Gordena) Mill Creek, sister Agnes, Ingonish, and Alice ( Bill Pero), Sydney Mines, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his Mom, George was predeceased by his brothers Jim and Gordon, Brothers-in-law, Charles Stockley and Sherman Stockley and his sister Lillian. George is survived by a very special niece, Janet Stockley, who made sure Uncle George was very well taken care of.
There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. A grave side service will be held Tuesday at 11a.m. from the Lewis Cove Cemetery in Lewis Cove where he will be laid to rest with his Mom and brother Gordon.
To the very end George could always make us laugh with his undying sense of humor and he will be missed.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
