Florence Mary Rhodenizer

Obituary of Florence Mary Rhodenizer
77 of Halifax, it is with great sadness that the family of Florence Mary Rhodenizer announce her passing on Saturday August 24, 2019.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Lorraine Saunders. Florence was a very beautiful person with a kind heart and beautiful smile. She was always there to help anyone who needed it.
Florence loved flowers, so much so, that when you went to visit you had to navigate your way up the stairs to the door! She also loved her four cats, Oliver, Olivia, Buddy and Frank.
Florence is survived by her loving husband, Terry; daughter-in-law Lucille; granddaughter, Angela (Cory) Zinck; great-grandsons, Owen and Nathan Zinck, all of First South; brothers, Russell (Donna) Saunders, Roger (Sheila) Saunders; sisters, Yvonne (Wayne) Clark, Collette Saunders (Ian Colford), Marsha Saunders; nephews, Raymond Saunders, Jason Clark; niece, Tonya-Ann Clark.
Florence was predeceased by her son, Stephen; parents, Bernard and Lorraine; in-laws, Glenwood “Shorty” and Grace Rhodenizer; brother Harris Johnson; nephew, Scott Saunders; niece, Loretta Saunders.
Thank you to the V.O.N who were there to help Florence with her medical care at home. Also thank you to all the caring nurses, doctors and staff at the Halifax Infirmary, unit 8.2. Also a special thank you to Eva (care co-ordinator) who was sad to hear of Florence’s passing and called to pass along her condolences.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke foundations or a charity of your choice.
