It is with great sadness that
the family of the late FLORENCE HICKMAN
of Fortune announce her passing at the Dr. S. Beckley Healthcare
Centre in Grand Bank on Monday, August 12th at the age of
79. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son;
Derrick (Joanne) of St. John’s, NL; sisters, Dorothy Byrne,
Catherine Bourgeois, Barbara Gilbert (Terry); brothers, Harold
Sheppard, George (Hazel) Sheppard, Ivan Sheppard, Roy (Madonna)
Sheppard; sisters-in-law, Marina, Christine, Rose, Blanche, Margaret;
1 grandchild, Sarah Williams; 2 great-grandchildren, Macy, Mia; plus a
large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her
husband, Garfield Hickman; parents, Noble & Jessie Sheppard;
brothers, Gerald, Eric; brothers-in-law, Gerald, Norman, Jack;
parents-in-law, Thomas & Sarah Hickman
The Family will be accepting
visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Fortune on Thursday,
August 15th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Funeral service will take place at the United Church in Fortune on
Friday, August 16th at 11:00am. Inurnment to follow at the United
Church Cemetery in Fortune.
Cremation has taken
place.
In
Florence’s memory, donations may be made to the
United Church Memorial Fund or flowers gratefully
accepted.
