The passing of Faye Marie Watson, wife of Austin Watson of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2019 the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on April 3, 1951 in Minto, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Freda (Barton) Forrester. Faye was an administrative assistant for UNB Fredericton’s Faculty of Forestry for 34 years. She loved spending time with family and friends, was a member of Greenwood Drive Baptist Church and enjoyed painting since learning during one of her many trips to visit family in Scotland.

In addition to her husband of 23 years, Faye is survived by her stepchildren, Bruce Watson, Angela Watson, Stacey Gourley (Brent); grandchild, Breanna Gourley; brother, Billy Forrester; sister in law, Jane Forrester; niece, Susan; several nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Tommy Forrester.

Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 1-3 pm followed by a Memorial Service in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 3 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment will be in Newcastle Creek Cemetery on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Faye’s family would like to offer a special thanks to her loving caregiver, Greta O’Donnell who became a good friend and gave Faye so much joy. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Stan Cassidy Centre. It is our wish to have only wild or home cut flowers. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
