Doug Borden
We regret to announce the death of Douglas Borden on August 2, 2019 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 64 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, camping, creating and building things, and being an extraordinary handyman. He was a loving, caring, and giving person who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and helping them. Doug lived for God and his grandchildren, and loved sharing his love for the Lord.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Ginette; his children: Lisa Brander (Dan) of Kapuskasing, and Jamie (Carla Tilt) of Hamilton; four grandchildren: Emma-Rose, Violet-Grace, Sophie-Danielle and Dottie; his mother, Dorothy Browley of Hanover; two brothers: Donald (Joanie Bremner) of Williamstown, and Dennis (Janice) of Flesherton; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Earl.
Doug Borden will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 6th beginning at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship church with Pastor Jason Burt officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship or the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund would be greatly appreciated. ©
Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Douglas Borden le vendredi 2 août 2019 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l’âge de 64 ans. Comme passe-temps, il aimait la photographie, aller camper, créer et construire, et être un homme à tout faire extraordinaire. Il était un homme attentif, chaleureux, qui donnait sans compter et qui aimait passer du temps avec ses amis et sa famille, et les aider. Doug vivait pour Dieu et pour ses petits-enfants, et aimait son amour pour le Seigneur.
Il laisse pour pleurer sa perte son épouse, Ginette; ses enfants : Lisa Brander (Dan) de Kapuskasing, et Jamie (Carla Tilt) de Hamilton; quatre petits-enfants : Emma-Rose, Violet-Grace, Sophie-Danielle et Dottie; sa mère, Dorothy Browley de Hanover; deux frères : Donald (Joanie Bremner) de Williamstown, et Dennis (Janice) de Flesherton; ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux et nièces. Il fut prédécédé par son père, Earl.
Doug Borden reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le mardi 6 août à compter de 9h00. La Célébration Eucharistique suivra à 10h30 en l’église Abundant Life Christian Fellowship avec Pasteur Jason Burt comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à Abundant Life Christian Fellowship ou à la Fondation des enfants du corridor du Nord. ©
