It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Colleen at the Burnaby Hospital in British Columbia while on vacation on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in her 77th year. Predeceased by her loving husband, Real Lafreniere. Loving Mother of Daniel Roy, Kimberley Phillips (Parrish), Rose-Marie Roy (Martin), Sean Roy and James Roy. Devoted sister of Merle Donovan (Robert), Gail Laniel (the late Gerard) and Carolyn Kilby. Predeceased by her brothers Keith O`Brien and Percy O`Brien (Yvette). Proud grandmother and great grandmother of many. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Hulse, Playfair & McGarry Funeral Home, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa, on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 8:30a.m., where the service will be held in the chapel at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
