Clara Jacob
1917-2019
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Clara Jacob at the age of 102
of Manoir de la Butte, Cap-Pelé, formerly of Petit-Cap,
NB. Clara passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L.
DuMont Hopsital on Saturday, August 3, 2019.
Born in Shemogue, NB, she was a daughter
of the late Francois and Léa (Richard)
Melanson.
Clara is survived by sons, Ovila,
Normand, and Gary; daughters, Georgette, Gisele, Patricia, Linda and
Shirley; sisters Juliette and Romaine; 15 Grandchildren, and 13 Great
Grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband,
Philippe; sons, Romuald, Guy and Philippe Jr “Joe”.;
daughter Delcia; infant daughter Gilberte; granddaughter, Bonnie;
brothers, Hervé, Roméo and Rhéal;
sisters, Marguerite, Blanche, Réjeanne, Elise, and
Enna.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port
Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). At Clara’s request, there will be
no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held from St.
Timothée Roman Catholic Church, Shemogue, on Wednesday,
August 7, 2019 at 11 am, Father Emery Brien officiating.
Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
