On August 29, 2019 Claire passed away peacefully at home among family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 14, 1958 and is survived by her loving husband James and her two adoring sons, Robert (Laura) and John (Emma) as well as her two precious grandsons, Seamus and Ewan. Claire is also mourned by her surviving brothers Jean, Peter (Kim), Robert (Sylvia) and Joanne (David) as well as extended family of nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles. Claire is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Racine and Simone Robert as well as her brothers Paul and Ralph and sisters Lorraine and Noella. Friends are invited to share their memories of Claire at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Tuesday September 3, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 95 Somerset Street, Ottawa on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at 10:30am. In Claire’s memory donations may be made to the Odawa Native Friendship Centre www.odawa.on.ca
