Born June 23, 1926 Charlotteville Township. Died August 25, 2019 at her home in her 94th year. Devoted wife and helpmate of Roy J. Smith (1996). Loving and cherished mother of Lizabeth and her husband Steve Suprun. Wilma was blessed to have family which was close and caring. Predeceased by her parents George Benson Taylor (1972) and Emma Geneiva Colwell (1991). Also predeceased by her brothers and sisters and their spouses Geneiva Nobes (2008) and Clifford (2003), Hazel Kelly (2017) and Donald B. (1974), George (2007) and Evelyn (2002), Leonard (2011) and Norma (2015), Alan (2006) and Leona (2010) as well as her sister-in-law Dorothy Inman (2013). Wilma leaves many dearly loved nieces and nephews in both the Taylor and Smith families to remember her. She is also survived by several cousins in the Taylor and Colwell families. She was honoured to be called “my second mom” by several friends. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Marc Bertrand officiating. Interment Walsh United Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Vittoria and District Foundation, Walsh United Cemetery or charity of choice would be appreciated. Online condolences at ferrisfuneral.com.
