Death notice for the town of: Hanover, Province: Ontario
I just learned of the death of Barrie. I have been trying to contact him for ages, obviously I had no luck. I used to be with Barrie in London England in the mid 50’s. I think I may be the only who remembers him from those days. From his Obit I learned of the death of Mel – who I also knew back then. I came to Canada in 1958. Sometime around the mid 60’s I had a job in Air Canada which needed an assistant. I immediately thought of my old friend and contacted him in Staines and went over to see him. Not to talk him into it but to ask him if he wanted to come over. That is how he got to Canada. Sorry if it caused a problem. He came, took a house in Pierrefonds or Dollard. My job finished and he went on to other things with the company. He went to the Air Show in Farnborough,I remember and goodness knows what else. In the old, old days we used totally about his life at the Kursaal, and life with his Dad there. Sorry to be so late – but he moved to Hanover! Sorry mate..
