Wilma passed away on July 5, 2019 in Port Coquitlam, BC at the age of 86. Born on April 29, 1933 in Glasgow, Scotland, she lived for many years in Victoria, BC and her last 14 years in Port Moody, BC. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1997.
Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Ian and Joyce MacDonald, son Duncan MacDonald and partner Debra, grandchildren, Sean (Kate), Grant (Amanda), Joanna and Joseph and great grandchildren, Georgia, Isla, Thomas, Zachary and Brianna. She will also be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Wilma will always be remembered for her wit, wonderful smile and her love of music, games and stamps. She cherished her time chatting with family and sharing a glass of wine. Wilma had an internal strength that was so apparent, living with MS and COPD for many years without complaint. She was truly an inspiration.
As was Wilma’s wish, no service will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Hawthorne Seniors Care Community who cared for Wilma over the last few years. Donations to the MS Society in her memory are welcome.
