Obituary of Tony Glencross
Surrounded by his beloved family, Anthony “Tony” A. Glencross FEC, P.Eng. passed away on July 5, 2019 in PEI at the age of 76 years. Tony was Past President of Engineers PEI and served as Engineers Canada Director. He was a proud recipient of the Engineers PEI Community Service Award and was an Honorary Life Member of Engineers PEI. Beloved husband of Geraldine(Hodgkins). Dear Father of Tanya (Mark), Juanita (Chris) and Christopher(Nancy). Loving Grampy to Mathew, Tomas, Gary and Emma. Dear brother of Patricia, Phillip (Catherine), John(Linda) and Cathy (Roger) and brother -in-law of Brian (Linda) Hodgkins. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father in law and mother in law, Delmar and Rozella (Smith) Hodgkins, and his parents, Alex and Doris (Russell) Glencross as well as his infant sister, Diane Susan. Cremation has taken place in PEI and his funeral service will be held at the Smithville United Church, 116 West Street, Smithville, ON on Saturday, July 27, at 11:00 am. Interment at Smithville United Church will follow the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, ON. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society PEI would be appreciated by the family and, if desired, can be made through the funeral home, merritt-FH.com
