Suddenly and unexpectedly at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, July 16th., 2019, Susan Connie Matschke of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 49 years with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Gary Matschke. Dear loving mother to Brandon Vyse, Kara Lynds (Justin) and Mark (Melissa) Matschke, and best friend of Barbara Moosberger. Survived by her mother, Shirley Phillips (Ron) and her siblings John Townsend, Linda Herbert, Cheryl Ward (Ed), Leslie Martin (Greg) and Steve Townsend (Betty) also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins many friends and her furry friend Missy the cat. Predeceased by her father, Eugene Townsend (1987).
Susan loved being outdoors especially in the garden season were she spent many happy hours. Her last employment was with Zehr’s in the bakery division.
Friends and relatives will be received by Susan’s family at OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 11:00 a.m – 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service for Susan will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Paul Robinson officiating. Interment will take place at the St.Luke’s Cemetery Vienna. Memorial donations in Susan’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society or charity of choice and would be appreciated by Susan’s family. Payable by cheque only.
