It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maurice John O’Connell announce his peaceful passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Gloria of 59 years; his children: Bill (Kim), Sally (Bruce), Denise (Andy), Elizabeth – predeceased, Joanne (Ted), Katie (Tom), Colleen (Joe), and Mike; his 15 grandchildren, his 8 great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Tom (Elizabeth), Sheila, Pat (Rose), Joe (Mary); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maurice was predeceased by his parents: William and Loretta O’Connell; his grandson Joshua, now in poppy’s arms; his sisters: Minnie and Vivian; and his brothers in law: Kevin Power, Gerard O’Reilly, and Frank Joy. A celebration of life will take place at 103 Midland Row, Pasadena on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 4 pm. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
