Lorna J.’s Obituary
Lorna Jean Young, long time resident of Hines Creek (AB) passed away on June 30, 2019 at the age of 66 years.
Lorna started her working years as a teacher’s aide for kindergarten children, then moved on to spend time employed at the café in Hines Creek. Eventually she went over to the Homesteader Lodge where she became the head cook & the recreation coordinator.
Sewing, fishing, gardening, playing horseshoes, camping, cooking, baking and spending time with friends and family were among Lorna’s favorite things to do.
She is predeceased by her parents June & Phillip Harris; brother, Brian Harris; her parents-in law, Beatrice & Frank Young.
Lorna leaves behind to mourn, her husband, Gary; son’s, Rob (Cheryl), Rick (Karen); niece, Stacy (Barry); grandson’s, Kolten, Kyle, Karter, Theron, Kody; great nieces, Brooke & Shelly.
A Celebration of Lorna’s life will be held from Carter’s Camp by Hines Creek on Saturday, July 6, 2019 starting at 12:00 PM.
