Kenneth Harry Turner originally of St. Catharines passed away peacefully on July 16, 2019, in his 82nd year at Strathroy Middle General Hospital.
Ken was the best friend and husband of Doreen, married for 54 years. Ken and Doreen raised their boys Aaron (Anne), Darryl, and Bryon (Peri). Ken leaves a great legacy in his Grandchildren Jason, Kassie, Great Grandchild Lincoln as well as Great expectations of one more Great Grandchild arriving soon.
The youngest of 6 children, Ken will be missed by his siblings Harley and Betty and is predeceased by his siblings Gwen, Bill, and Jim and also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
After a major auto accident in 2013 and battling multiple injuries until the time of his passing, Ken showed great strength and courage to his family and friends, sustained by his strong personal faith in his saviour. A man with a passion for boots and cars, becoming a “Doctor of Motors” at an early age, eventually owning his own automotive business in Belleville.
Above all else, Ken’s greatest pride was in his family. He left them with countless wonderful memories which were created over the years. Ken is described by his family as a vibrant man of strength, a wonderful husband and a fantastic father. During the past 6 years Ken’s faith grew in his relationship with Christ. His church family consistently, with family and friends upheld both Ken and Doreen, showing incredible selfless love.
A service will take place on Wednesday, July 31 at 2:00pm at Forest Baptist Church, 19 Prince Street in Forest with Pastor Tyler Strickler and Pastor Bob Lewis officiating. Family and friends are welcomed to join to celebrate Ken’s life, a life well lived – Well Done, good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:23
