Kathleen (Kaye) Miriam Arndt went home to be with her Lord on Sunday July 21, 2019.
She is survived by three daughters and one son, Lynda (Hendrick), Barbara (Barone), Cynthia (Hyslop) and Douglas Arndt; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Pat Vail.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 2003 and an infant son in July 1953.
Kaye grew up in Spirit River, Alberta, the oldest daughter of Frank and Gladys Moravec. She moved to Edmonton where she met and married Herb Arndt, settling in the Ritchie area of Edmonton. In 1957, Herb and Kaye and family moved to Gunn, Alberta where they began a trailer resort on the shores of Lac Ste Anne, namely Arndt Acres Ltd. Their children attended and graduated from Onoway School. Kaye was active in the neighbouring churches of Alberta Beach and Onoway. Her love of music gave her much joy and many friends in the area. She was blessed to be able to keep a summer place at the lake as well as a winter condo in California.
A Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Service South, 5311 91 Street NW, Edmonton on Friday July 26, 2019 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Graveside Service on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 5420 106 St NW, Edmonton, followed by a Memorial Service at Terwillegar Community Church, 1751 Towne Centre Blvd NW, Edmonton at 12:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kaye’s honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation,
