Born in Nanaimo, BC, Hap will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Suzanne (Garry) Sutton, Roslyn (Dwayne) Peleshaty and son, David (Anneli) Bramley; grandchildren, Troy (Jennifer) and Kirk (Allison) Sutton, Chase, Connor and Colby Peleshaty, Rachel and Drew Bramley; great-grandchildren, Sienna, Dean, Olivia and Elsa. Beloved wife for 62 years of the late James H. (Jim) Bramley.
She was a Wife, Mom, Auntie, Gran and GG-ma, friend and spirit lifter, artist, sculptor, creator of stained glass, author, poet, swimmer, go-cart builder, bridge player, traveller, seamstress, gardener, and master of the Sunday night roast beef dinner … golf was in her marriage contract.
Mom was colourful ~ her art, her personality, and her language. This planet will not be the same without her and we’re sure there was a party at the gates as she arrived. We will miss her terribly, but know her bright light will shine on.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Uplands Golf Club on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
Flowers graciously declined. Those so wishing may make a donation in memory of Hap to their charity of choice.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

From the Victoria High School Graduation Class of ’48. We have lost a ‘bright’ light. Last November at our yearly luncheon, we celebrated the 70th re-union of our 1948 Graduation. Hap has been a great supporter and always a joyful participant. Sincere condolences are extended to her family. Bob Clarke / Committee Chairman.

Dear David, Suzanne and Roslyn, So very sorry that the fire spark of Duart Rd. has left us. Happy always made me feel welcome if we were rushing into your home to visit Dave. I admire the determination that she put into her artwork over the years. All three of you carry the same sparkle that she passed down and what a gift that is! Sincerely Janis Blyth and Family.

We are deeply saddened by Happy’s passing, she was such a ray of light with a fabulous smile and a spirit that could carry an entire team to victory. Yes, Happy was that dynamic and full of fun. Loved to flirt with the men and make everyone feel special. Ros, Suzanne and David, your mom was remarkable and when we think of her it is with an enormous smile. Jim and Happy are now dancing together shaking everything up and even making heaven a better place.

I met Happy when I was in Grade 5. It was Mrs. Bramley then. Many of my younger years were spent at the Bramley’s, almost as much as I was at my own home. I can remember the day when she told me I was old enough to start calling her “Happy”. That was very special for me.
It was so much fun growing up at the Bramley’s and the life long friendship I have with Suzanne is very dear to me.
I have so many wonderful memories of Happy. She was truly an extraordinary Lady and she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
My deepest sympathies go out to the whole family.
Love to all

I remember aptly-named “Hap” as a lady of style & grace, liberally mixed with a sometimes irreverent sense of humour. As a youngster, I was welcomed at Hap & Jim’s home, with my uncle Claud. Jim was the serious one, & Hap was the “fun” one, who reached out to people & made them feel worthy. I believe there are legions of Victorians who enjoyed Hap’s conviviality. May she & Jim rest together in peace.

This beautiful lady came into my life when I was just eight years old. It was the same day I met my lifelong best friend, her beautiful daughter, Roslyn. I have so many wonderful memories of Hap through the years. I loved her beautiful spirit, zest for life, her kindness, talent and so much more. She touched so many people and I feel so very fortunate to have had her in my life. I send my sincere condolences to the family and her many friends.
