Gordon Thomas Spicer – Today, we lost a wonderful man with many helpful hands and soft caring heart of gold. Gordon entered into eternal rest at the Pine Meadow Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the age of 83. Dear father to his children Lela Spicer (Ben) of Morrisburg, Patsy Spicer-McCumber (Kyle) of Roblin and a proud grandfather to his 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Gordon will be sadly missed by his twin sisters Vera Mead of Brighton & Verna Zinkie of Grafton, Doreen (the late Gary) Watts of Cobourg, his brothers Elwin (Beth) of Oshawa, Harvey (Leuirce) of Bowmanville, Ernie (Ruth Anne) of Sarnia. Pre-deceased by his sisters Isabell Timmer, Rhena Parks and his brothers Mac Spicer and Roland “Rolly”. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook on Friday afternoon from 1-3pm. We will honour and celebrate his life in the Chapel at 3:00pm. Cremation will follow the service and a burial of his ashes will take place at a later date in the Northbrook Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute in his memory to the Pine Meadow Nursing Home.
