Friedrich “Fred” Karl Hassel
Peacefully, after a brief illness at St. Thomas General Hospital, on Sunday, June 30, 2019, Fred Hassel of St. Thomas in his 88th year. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Frances Lillian (Clipperton) (November 30, 2013), whom he cherished. Loving Step-father of the late Jim Clipperton (2011). Loved by his mother-in-law Edith Clipperton. Survived by his brothers-in-law Doug and Wayne Clipperton and his sisters-in-law Mary Morgan and Corrine Clipperton, his nieces Carol Morgan of Mexico, Michelle Beimers (Nathan), nephew Rick Dugas (Kim) and step-grandson Cody Dibaisi. Great nieces and nephews also survive. Fred will be greatly missed by his dear friends Ray and Nancy Cote and Al and Melissa Schermerhorn, all of St. Thomas and the congregation of New Vision Community Church in St. Thomas. Fred enjoyed woodworking and was retired from the Ford Motor Company, Talbotville.
