McDONELL, Edna Marie, R.N. (nee Bourque) – Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday July 10, 2019 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Finley ‘Fin’ McDonell (2009). Dearly loved mother of Denise Kafal, Michael (Karen), Daryl (Barb), Wayne and Mark (Sheila) McDonell. Cherished grandmother of Adam, Nicole (Michael), Lauren, Michelle (Colin), Stephanie, Matthew, Heather (Calvin), Sean and Noah. She will be sadly missed by her sister Jeanne (Joe) Avbar, sister-in-law Doris Bourque and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Alphie, Ben and Leger. Mrs. McDonell was an alumnae of the Greater Niagara General Hospital, and a devoted member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Catholic Women’s League and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at St. Patrick’s Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband.
