Donald Joseph Rose
ROSE, Donald Joseph – Peacefully at home on Thursday, July 4th, 2019 in his 74th year. Loving son of Jane and the late Dominic Rose. Loving and devoted partner Jeanne Misener. Cherished brother of the late David (Suzanne) Rose, Monica Rose (Tom DiFrancesco) and Tom and (Paula) Rose. Donald will be sadly missed by his niece Sophia, nephew Michael, his Aunt Betty Leon, Aunt Janey O’Bireck, Aunt Neitha and Uncle John Rose. Predeceased by his many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Donald was a true renaissance man, accomplished and an expert with many varied passions. His education at The Ontario Art College gave him an appreciation of photography and art. He loved music, listening and playing. Donald enjoyed motor racing and his many car projects and was a avid collector of records, magazines and models, as well as having a keen interest in history. Donald worked for De Havilland Aircraft in Toronto for 19 years and relocated back to his hometown of Welland where he operated Rose Noir Art Gallery and his own computer servicing business. He was The family invites you to join them to celebrate Donald’s life by sharing stories and refreshments at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, July 12th. Father James Mulligan c.s.c. will recite funeral prayers beginning at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to either the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A very special thank you to Dr. Jennifer Mueller. As well to Laurie, Karen, Kayla, Amy and Sanne, Prince Charles Pharmacy, the LHIN, CCAC, ParaMed, SE Health, the VON and Nurse Next Door for all of their care and support and going above and beyond the call of duty.
