David “Dave” Alan Porter
1951-2019
Porter – The death
occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, July
4, 2019, of David “Dave” Porter, of Summerside and formerly
of Port Williams, NS, aged 67 years. Born in Kentville, NS, he was the
son of the late Frank and Helen (Jess) Porter. Survived by his beloved
wife Evelyn “Evie” (Blanchard) MacKinnon-Porter; daughters
Heather (Leonard) Boucher and Cheryl Pilipchuk; stepsons Trevor and
Kyle MacKinnon; grandchildren Evangelina, Tristan, Jack, Kai, Avery,
Alexis, Logan, Jasmin, Kaine and Damian; brothers Eric and Michael
(Elaine) Porter; sisters Linda (Owen) Jordan and Marilyn Porter; and
by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Moase Funeral
Home, Summerside. Funeral service will be held at the Summerside
Church of the Nazarene on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. No visiting hours by
request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Palliative Care
Unit of the Prince County Hospital or the IWK Health Centre would be
appreciated.
