Peacefully at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital-Smiths Falls Site on Saturday July 20, 2019. Allison Gifford of R.R. # 3, Portland, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Frances Welch. Dear father of Dwayne (Mary) of Kingston, Dwight (Richard) of Bishop’s Mills, Lynn (Don) Pittman of Haliburton, Darrell at home, Bonnie (Ed) Bakker of Portland, Dale (Wendy) of Smiths Falls, Darlene of Portland. Predeceased by brother, Winston and by sisters; Aileen Reil, Phyllis Garrett, Yvonne Suice and Winona Young. Fondly remembered by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Wednesday from 10-1 followed by a Graveside Service at Forfar Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations made to Forfar Cemetery or Forfar Hall Board would be appreciated by the family.
