Obituary for Marilyn Saunders
Peacefully surrounded by her family at Strathroy Middle General Hospital on Wednesday June 5, 2019. Marilyn Louise Saunders (nee Hyatt), of Strathroy, was in her 86th year. Beloved wife to the late Howard Saunders. Dear mother of Terry (Susan) Saunders, Mark (Jean) Saunders, Cindy (Steve) Pollard and the late Wendy (2009) Shields. Loving grandmother of Mayna (Rodney), Jordan, Jeffrey (Marlin), Jason (Annie), Jeremy (Samantha), Geoffrey, Daniel, Brandon (Diana), and Alex (Brianne) and great-grandmother to twelve. Survived by her brothers Bruce (Mary) Hyatt and Murray Hyatt. Predeceased by her daughter Wendy Shields, infant sons Wilbert and Jeffrey, granddaughter Carole Shields and her siblings Stanley Hyatt, Earl Hyatt and Doris Davis. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia where a funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to follow in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Strathroy-Middle General Hospital.
