John Emerson “EMY”
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John, “EMY” on June 25, 2019 at 68 years of age. Reunited with his parents Christina and Clarence Emerson. Survived by his sister Gail (Colin) McLarty. Uncle to Jenny, Susan and Robb. Loving father of Katie (Matt) Asplin and Sarah Emerson. Proud Puppa to Bennett, Elsie, Elodie and Tannin. They were the light of his life. Puppa is blowing kisses from heaven. Will be missed by special friend Katherine Edwards. Missed by his beloved cat Babi, a stray he adopted after losing Cleo.
John retired from Canada Customs 7 years ago. He loved his family, friends and sports were his passion. He will always be remembered and missed by all who loved him.
If you so desire, donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
Cremation services were held. Memorial visitation Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service Friday, July 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.

  1. John was a very special friend. I worked with him at Canada Customs for many years, so shocked to note his passing, much sympathy to his family and many friends.

  2. Very sad day to hear of my beloved customer, John, who would light up the post office every time he came in. Extremely bubbly even on a not-so-good day for me. Fondest memories…was the day we had a 15 second disagreement. The next time I saw him, he took both my hands and said “Hello my Friend”.
    John was the happiest person I had the pleasure of meeting.
    God called home an angel. I miss you John.
