Our brother, Brian Fitzgerald, newly 64 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. He was predeceased by our parents Carol and Frank Fitzgerald. His siblings Dennis Fitzgerald, Mary Frances Fitzgerald & John Nedd, Laura Fitzgerald & Flash, and nephews Timothy and Adam Brown are saddened by this sudden end to a life that still aspired to achieve many dreams.
Keenly independent and a self starter, Brian was a professional geologist who owned, worked-in and consulted with Alberta oil companies. A certified mechanic, he loved picking up big equipment for his companies at the auctions and was always on the lookout for a good piece of real estate. Brian loved rich conversations about politics & the environment, a good soya latte, and meeting people. He helped teach us about understanding one’s limits and the importance of family.
Thank you for the valiant efforts of the staff at the Misericordia Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced in late June 2019.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9830-148 Street, Edmonton, NW.
