ZOKOL (nee: Zitko), Elsie Helen
January 1, 1921 — May 16, 2019
The Zokol family sadly announces the completion of the vibrant life of Elsie Helen Zokol. Born in Anyox, B.C., she grew up in the Strathcona neighborhood of Vancouver. Elsie was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Joseph Zokol, whom she supported through his schooling and his professional career.
She was a passionate golfer and bridge player at Marine Drive Golf Club, where she was a member for over 50 years.
On May 16, 2019, Elsie passed away in the same tenacious spirit she lived her life.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Ron (Marie), Janet (Gordon), Dr. Deborah, Richard (Joanie); and grandchildren Ryan, Richard, Robert, Garrett, Conor, and Hayley.
She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
