1940-2019
Timothy Angus “Tim” Grant, age 79, eldest
child of the late Timothy Arthur and Helen (Mason) Grant, passed away
suddenly at his cottage in Country Harbour (Guysborough Co.) on
Sunday, May 26, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years,
Donna Patricia (Horn); daughter, Geraldine Kirk (Greg), Okotoks, AB,
grandchildren: Nicholas Frizzell, Jessica Frizzell and Bradley Kirk;
son, Patrick Jon A. Grant (Stephanie), High River, AB, granddaughter,
Calley Grant; step-grandchildren, Connor and Kelsey Anderson. He is
also survived by brothers: Daniel (Brenda) Grant; David (Debbie)
Grant; Ron (Sharon) Grant; Christopher (Terry) Grant; Peter Grant;
Gregory (Debbie) Grant; sisters: Patsy MacLean; Penny (John) McMullin;
Paula (Wayne) MacDonald; Pamela Grant; Lesley LeBlanc; numerous nieces
and nephews. Tim was predeceased by his sister, Faye (William) Fraser;
brothers, Philip Grant and Michael Grant. Besides his wife and family,
Tim’s second love was fishing and gardening, especially
growing garlic at the cottage in County Harbour. He was employed for
many years as an electrical supervisor with NS Power Trenton
Generating Plant. After an early retirement, Tim was always helping
his friends and neighbours. In keeping with Tim’s wishes,
cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A private interment will be held at a later date. If desired,
donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross. Arrangements are
under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home,
Trenton.
