Richard Phillip Rick Davis Tuesday April 16th 2019

Davis, Richard “Rick” Phillip – 67, Halifax, passed away suddenly at home on April 16, 2019. Rick was born in Truro to Ralph Manning Davis (Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, QEII) and the late Elizabeth Gertrude (Harvey) Davis. The oldest of four, he is survived by his brothers, Kelvin (Marlene), Stephen (David LeFort) and Mark. Rick gave three women the gift of being sisters, Tanya (Tony Comeau), Maria (Sean Moyaert) and Ashley (Adrian Van der Ploeg). He also leaves behind beautiful granddaughters, Hannah Davis-Comeau, Grace Davis-Comeau and Elizabeth Van der Ploeg. He will also be missed by nieces, Jessica Davis, Michelle Davis and Angela Baskerville along with extended family and friends from Truro, the Annapolis Valley, Halifax and beyond. He lived his life enjoying long conversations with friends and family, following his favourite sports teams, art venues and enjoying the beauty that Halifax has to offer. An avid reader and lifelong learner, Rick found a healthy escape in the pages of many books. We would like to express our gratitude to friends who kept in touch with him, asked about him and kept him in their hearts. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 10th at 11 a.m. in the Watson Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
