Peacefully, on Saturday, March 16, 2019at Port Perry Place, at age 93. Minnie (nee Bateman), beloved wife of the late Jim Martin (2007). Loving mother of Evelyn Fitzsimmons of Oshawa, and Larry Martin of Calgary. Loved grandmother of Jennifer and her husband Ted Durning of Whitby, Kristen and her husband Matt Douglas of Ashburn, and Shaun Fitzsimmons and his wife Allison of Oshawa. Loving great grandmother of Emily and Aiden Durning, Charlie Fitzsimmons, and Quinn Douglas. Dear sister of Barclay Bateman and his wife Neenah of Oshawa. Sister in law of Donna and her husband Bob Martin (deceased), and sister in law Ruby (deceased) and her husband George Romanuk(deceased).
The family of Minnie Martin will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, “McDermott-Panabaker Chapel”, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 10 – 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
