Joan Margaret O’Brien

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joan Margaret O’Brien (nee : Quigley) at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Les (2018), parents Bill and Maggie (nee: Kennedy), sister Helen (Austin) Penney, brother Ted Quigley, special cousins Marg Tucker and Helen Lacey. Leaving to mourn with precious and fond memories her loving children; Elaine Lundrigan (Howard), Dan (Peggy), Janet Power (John), Paul (Penny), Lynn Clancey (Darren), Steve (Brenda) and Robert; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister in law Elsie Quigley, a large circle of nieces, nephews, the Tucker Cousins – Sandra, Dianne, Debbie, Marilyn, Joanne and Danny and long time friend Gladys Stamp. Mom will be forever remembered for her cakes and cookies which she shared with everyone. She especially enjoyed cooking meals and having her family around her. Family will be accepting visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, May 4 from 2- 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. A service giving thanks for Joan’s life will take place on Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 pm from Caul’s Funeral Home Chapel, with cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
